why do you need to warp the music files?

you don't need to. but you can, if you would like them to change tempo to match the master tempo, and to sync up more easily with other sounds you are using

If I don't, first my leg starts to twitch and I start making 808 kick sounds in the back of my throat and I go around asking people questions like, "would 'Come Together' sound good over 'Redemption Song'?" because you know, I think at 94 BPM the groove would, ya know??!?!?" after a few hours I'm sobbing in the corner wondering what Live, I mean Life is really about and it isn't worth it.

WARP TAKES ME TO THE NEXT GALAXY, and usually it shreds up the beats.
I use complex mostly, but i like warping in beat mode for some choppy effects. still experimenting...

I only warp when the dilithium crystals are ok, otherwise it's just madness. Madness, I tell you!

If you warp the music file to much the record won't lay flat on the platter.
