save the set self-contained and transfer both the .als and Sounds folder. from what i've read you might still have some problems (?)

hi there,
I dj with live and move stuff around between the studio pc and the laptop using an external hdd. Initially i had a lot of problems, but once i tweaked XP it works fine now.
Somewhere in this forum you'll find a list of tips to maximise xp for Live, make sure you do them all , especially the 'daylight savings' otherwise the warp markers will swing.
Good luck

seriously, the best thing is a USB jumpdrive or flashdrive.
I use a SANDISK, they have them everywhere, Bestbuy were selling 1 GB for @ $40-50.00
they are great to have, a gig will hold a crapload of songs with their respective audio files....

I use SyncToy (Windows free software) and keep my notebook and desktop the same with that. Works well, any changes you make on one will be copied over to the other without you grabbing and copying files. Connect them both on a network (wireless for the coolness factor) and you can easily keep both the same with a few mouse clicks.
Try it, you'll appreciate how much time it saves the first time you use it

Oops, Livepsy, i forgot to mention that i actually use synctoy to transfer the stuff onto the hdd and off again. You're damn right on this, it does work a dream.
Gonna have to hook up a wifi system now... coolness is a must..
