Ableton Forum

Hello All,
I'm trying to record audio from my mpc into live via a m audio firewire 1814. I'm getting a signal through the speaker but when i hit the record button in live nothing happens. I armed the track but I don't see the signal going through. Any Suggestions?

oh hell fuck it

make sure in the preferences you have your audio set to your firewire

then on the arm'd track make sure you have the input set to your firewire's inputs and arm the track [record button turns red]

as far as Ableton's concerned that's it - if you got all that then you may want to make sure your MPC is turned up and connected to the proper inputs.

really it's in the manual and if all's correct with Ableton you may want to troubleshoot the firewire and / or your MPC
