I do this everyonce in a while - just delete the whole lot of music on my harddrive - most of it sucks and start witha clean slate

but I'd also like to clean my system up with a free adware, spyware program

something I can run and clean my system up also protect me from the bad stuff

I did the google / msn search and I just don't trust their results

anyone?

Install Spy Bot Search & Destroy

WITH THE "TEA TIMER" OPTION.

With this one piece of software you will never get a trojan, adware or
anything else. It warns you when anything is trying to add itself to the
important startup registry keys or BHO keys, notify keys etc.

If you aren't in the middle of installing something, then u deny any
changes. If your the one installing something then you allow the change....

Simple....

Sure

anything Adware, Trojan or Virus related - the freer the better I guess

but if it's worth it I'm willing to pay

instead of putting more programs on your computer, use a utility called DeepFreeze.

once you have configured the system to be how you would like, DeepFreeze your system drive and it will prevent any changes occuring... i.e. if you get a virus, a reboot will fix everything.
