Novation Remote 25 Octave Buttons problem

Hi,
Anyone out there using a Novation Remote 25 as a controller?

I have the transport buttons assigned to control next scene, previous scene, play scene, stop clips etc...

I'm using the midi keys to trigger a vst synth.
Whenever I push octave up or octave down, or edit, or global, or any of the buttons in that group on the keyboard, it triggers the Play scene function...

Very annoying, it means I can't change octaves while I'm performing, or It'll trigger the next scene...

I've checked right throughout the settings in the remote 25, and using the software editor, but there doesn't seem to be any settings you can apply to these "Global" functions like Keyboard octave etc...

So why on earth would these buttons send a midi signal?

I tried changing the navigator cc no.s, but it still kept happening.

The funny thing about it is that if Ableton is stopped (no clips playing)
then the octave buttons don't trigger the play scene function. When Ableton is playing, they do.

I'm using a DEL notebook, works well, M-audio 410, Live5

Any ideas?
Thanks!

I
Funny, the REmote 49 does the same thing.... the octave buttons re-send the last midi message sent.

I asked Novation ant they say it is a bug.

Well if there is a thing I did not need, that was bugs in my midi controller. If they do not correct this with an update it will be the last Novation item I will ever buy.

Their site is not loading up. The gear I got yesterday seems to have been programmed to not let me use encoders (it was a store model.) I have no idea what to do.

Have you tried loading a factory template?

Pretty strange... I've had a ReMOTE 25 for ages and never noticed this.

I just tried with several Novation templates and custom ones alike, and as expected, monitoring does not show anything sent via MIDI when pressing the octave buttons.

The unit is connected via USB, and has the latest firmware. Live options are set for MIDI input only, as Track and Remote.

If you guys can make a step-by-step setup example that'd help me reproduce the problem, I'd be glad to help solve it if possible...

I had to reinstall the OS. It runs fine now. It would run better if the second half of the unit natively ran in a way that performed other than the way I typically run my fw1884, lc xmu/microkontrol, or pretty soon (in the mail) bcf 2000, with out the jumping.

Bitch, gripe, moan.
