M-audio Firewire Audiophile Cue button freeze solved

Hi everybody,

I ran into this damn thing of the cue button being frozen after some time working with live as soon as i plugged the device and started working in some mixes...

Anyway, i had the audiophile connected to firewire nº 2, changed that to port 1 of the interface.

Another thing i did was routing the spdif out (5/6) to be my cue (b, when you press the button), thus leaving the 3/4 out available to use as booth monitors (route the 1/2 rtn to both the 1/2 out and the 3/4 out). 1/2 are the main outs, and that i listen in the phones when setting the cue button to the a position.

I've mixed for over two hours straight, with absolutely no problems at all.
I have the Audiophile connected to a PCI firewire card, feeding bus power to the interface.

Hope this solution works for someone else, 'cause i think the interface is really nice considering the price, and it's really annoying to be in the middle of a mix and suddenly u can't switch the damn thing or move the knobs...
Please post any comments, alternate solutions, etc.

Regards,

Andrés Cruz
