trying not to waste anyones time and search forums but so many repeat messages and dozens of pages to scroll thru....jjeezzzzz...and here i am added to it.....

Start LIVE up, then Cubase.....LIve should start cubase eh?
No luck...trouble shooting everywhere...Ableton manual very thin.
I am using my MPC3000 now to midi sync the two together...dont want to...

where do i need to look for this info?

Hi dietrich10,

There's a section in the manual about ReWire.
But some words here to clarify:
- In the ReWire universe only one application can run as the ReWire master at the same time, but tigether witt several ReWire slaves.
- Live is able to runs as ReWire Master or as ReWire slave under OS 9
- Cubase is a ReWire master only application

That means, to rewire these both applications, Cubase must! be the ReWire master. So you have to start Cubase first, activate at least one Ableton channel in Cubase's ReWire setup and then start Live.
