Do You VJ/ do visuals with band. do you own a projector?

hey guys, I've always wanted to get some visuals happening at my gigs (laptop+other musos)
What does everybody around here do for that? do you have a dedicated VJ
Do you need to own a projector.. any tips on stage setup?
Can i use the venues projector? (rely on venues projectors..)

I VJ very often..
I own 2 projectors, and a huge screen.
Big venues usually have their own projectors and video mixer, but untill you get to those it might be a good idea to get your own gear to start doing it a local bars, etc.
