Hello,

I'm in the process of selling some of my HW and going (almost entirely)virtual.
Let me submit new my new setup for advice before I buy anything.

Already owned:
Focusrite Saffire
CME UF6, Maudio TriggerFinger
Soundcraft Spirit M12, Event 20/20

Comp:
MSI Neo2 mobo (nforce3 ultra based)
AMD64x2 4200+
2gb DDR
Leadtek 6600GT AGP (already owned)
2* Hyundai L70S+ (17" LCD monitor, one is already here)
200gb IDE HD (already owned)
250gb FW LaCie Porsche HD
Universal Audio UAD1 ultra
NI Komplete3+ Kore
Live (of course)

I also have an Airbase which will probably be replaced with a MachineDrum.
Or be replaced with Battery, I dunno.

Is there anything I should add/remove/modify?

Sort of.
But I'm also interested in opinions on FW HDs and CPU (AMD or Intel?).

I own a machinedrum and I'm borrowing my friends airbase for a while. the airbase has a nice kick. that's it. I would HIGHLY recommend the machinedrum, not only is it an excellent percussive synth/12bit sampler - but the sequencer is so intuitive it just sucks the grooves out of you - of course you can record all this as midi too and apply it to some software.

you probably know jomox sell the Mbase, an analogue kick module. It costs around 260euro, and you can control it with your machinedrum. oooooooo aaaaaaaa.

Its on my wishlist - until then I'm just gonna sample as much as I can stomach of the airbase's kick.

How do you like your AMD64x2 4200+?

I still haven't bought it, but the reviews/benchmarks about it are very good.
We'll have to wait for Live6 for dual core optimization though. :(

Yikes! Will you be a "lifer" with NI? These guys will grab you by the balls. You will pay somewhere around $1,500 for Komplete + Kore then get sucked into paying $299/yr for Komplete Care to cover your upgrade costs. What really blows is Komplete doesn't include everything in the NI line-up. Still better than buying the apps individually though..assuming you would all of them,
