Hi guys,

i'm running ableton live 2.0 demo on an apple ibook 800 Mhz with m-audio quattro soundcard.
In the audio panel i should select which device to use but live only recognize the internal soundcard and no other options available.
I also run Logic Audio 5.5 and the quattro works ok.
So what could be the problem? Maybe demo version has some restrictions about that..

If i play with live the sound comes out from the quattro anyway..

please help.
cheers

i have bored everyone to death with this

Hey.

When it comes to problems with the Quattro, the only solution I have ever found is to repeatedly reinstall until it works correctly.

The drivers are buggy as hell, and it may take you 20-30 installs before it finally clicks. God knows it took me at least that long.

For what it's worth, if you search for "Quattro" you will probably find my recent thread about problems with the device.

Hi dub,

because you said that you use Logic 5.5 so I guess you're under OS 9.
Probably you use the Quattro ASIO driver in Logic 5.5.

Be sure that the Quattro ASIO driver is placed in Live's ASIO Drivers folder (Live's Resources folder).

You could also search for "ASIO Drivers". Each audio application that can handle ASIO has a folder like that where you have to place the Quattro ASIO driver.

regards,
Alex

hi guys,

thanx for replies.
Yes i'm on macos 9 and quattro ASIO drivers work ok with logic 5.5.
I don't think i need to reinstall them, i'm running ableton live demo right now but i can't find an ASIO folder in it, maybe i will solve this problem with complete version.

cheers
