Why is it so?


I mean, most of us share their tracks under CC.
Having the 'source' of the tracks makes then no difference in term of copy.
On the opposite, this is certainly the best way to learn from each other, and compose some great tracks (kind of remixes) and have fun together.

We are a couple of 'over the Internet' community hosted at ccMixter. But in this great world, I meet very rarely Ableton users.

What I've done already:
I posted 24 'Ableton Packs' on ZikWeb.org http://zikweb.org/download.php?dcategor ... ck&sortby= and that is a real success... in term of number of files downloaded.
But I'm surprised that this 'share your composition in full Ableton compatible format' is not more represented on this forum.

Am I overlooking something there?

I tend to use a few vst's that are either not free, or that I made myself. You would almost have to make a new vst /au rule. Also, I do alot of resampleing, most of my saved-as-self-contained directories are well into the 400 meg range, at least 2 top out over a gig. Resampling is why I use live, so my final track may not tell you what I did to make it at all. I personaly think that guides with pictures and a few mp3's of 'what it sounds like' or 'load this and do ____' ends up being much more informative. It takes me an hour or so to figure out what the hell I was doing in a track more then a week or so old.
