Does anyone know if there are gigbags available for the microKONTROL and are they good?

I am doing a live performance for the Dutch VPRO 3voor12 with a little Ableton demonstration using Live 5 + a beamer. I will explain/show how I created the track, so it will be fun I guess It's on the 16th of May in Studio 80 in Amsterdam, Holland.

Korg used to have some originaly made for microkorg ( James Bernard had one like that maybe ask him), I never found anything in Europe. I was thinking of getting http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PCR30Bag/

1. got SL instead
2 I prefere a bag to put everythning notebook, 2,3 controllers etc the best are tenis bags,well padded, they are much better and cheaper then those made for music instruments, thermal protection is useful too.

Are you using a microKONTROL btw?

I had the MicroKase when I had a MK, very high quality, fits perfect!

plus it comes with a harness and strap so you can wear it.

do yourself a favor and get a kontrol49. Gigskinz makes a bag that fits it perfectly. i think it was about 50$US

I found the kontrol49 to be a little flimsy and just not worth the price, I got a CME UF-5 instead.

I gotta say i LOVE LOVE the keys on my kontrol49. The knobs, sliders and pads( ah, buttons ) arent the best out there but ive been rockin out MCE with the pads and sliders -- works great! LCDs are really helpful to. Those CMEs look great by the way. if you think the kontrol49 was flimsy i wonder what you thin of the microkontrol

I think they're good for what they are, if cme hadn't been around I would've got the k49, I have a microkorg which I assume is pretty much the same design, and again, good for what it is, but I think they should be cheaper honestly.

The cme was 199, and had comparable specs to the k49, plus more (aftertouch, breathcontroller, metal contruction, etc.) so I went with that. I think the korg has more style though, I'm not really feeling the red/black combo, although it's nice in itself.

Try LC Xmu (the Mackie Control emulation utility) with Live 5 and the mK or K49, and feel the love. Finally some use for those ultracool LCD panels on the mK.

LC Xmu is Mac-only, but there's a comparable utility for Windows, the name escapes me now...

imo the Kontrol49 is a bigger letdown than the MicroKontrol, because the Mikro you'd expect to be flimsy...

I saw the new CME controllers at MusikMesse... Yowsa! Light-weight as well. And flying faders... gotta love that.

Different strokes.
I played a CME at the GC. I thought the bed felt cheesy.
Flying faders would be awesome, tho'.
