Greetings

Question:

Does live 5 have any type of simple waveform editor?
If there is one I can't find it!

I'm on a mac so I guess I'm looking at peak....

Either way

Looking foward to working with live 5 and reason together finally!

A little about me:

Started making electronic music in '96-'97 after taking a class in electronic music.
You know for the easy "A". Anyway I was hooked and bought a mc 303 and then shortly after got ACID 1.0 and some turntables. Evolved up to the 505 and a sidstation as well as a couple other hardware synths...Then I got married and had a kid and everything came to a screeching halt....Let that be a lesson to you guys...Start a family, your hobby or art will suffer.... So I had Reason since 1.0 but never really had all that much time to use it. Now I do. So I am not only sitting done and learning that thing but also LIVE...

ACID was so easy to learn I assumed that LIVE would be similar and it's not!

Anyway thanks!

not really but kind of. you can use "consolidate" in the arrange window to make a new audio file out of what ever properties you have applied to the clip
(effects in the track are not applied to the consolidated clip)

If you set your favorite wave editor as a preference in Live prefs, you can press Edit on a clip and have it start automatically with the right sample loaded. Then you save and and Alt-Tab back to Live.
