Consolidate in lessons? Bug?

Hi folks,
Tiny bug, I think - the lesson entitled editing arrangements has a section (p. 14) on consolidating clips, with instructions for doing so within the lesson. But this feature seems to be disabled in lessons. I thought I was in demo mode but then I noticed the big yellow bar at the bottom that reads "Lesson Document: Saving and Exporting Unavailable."
It should either work, or not be included in a lesson. Or am I missing something really dumb?
