I'm new to ableton and I had a question about the % meter in the upper right hand corner. when I use more plug-ins and midi controlers (3, tirgger, uc-33, edirol keyboard) the meter goes up to 60%. does the meter indecate ram useage or the prosseser use. Do i need to add more ram? let me know, Thanks

In the very bottom left of the AL screen is a little ^ arrow. Click this and the "Info View" box will open.

While you are learning Live, this little box is indispensible. Just put your mouse cursor over whatever you wanna know about and it will give you a brief description.

Freeze tracks, use less/different VST instruments and more built-in live devices, bounce your VSTs to clips, or go get a new MacBook to help lower your CPU load.

Do i need to add more ram?
You can never have enough RAM...

OT: Here's a link to a nice little RAM manager I've been using (PC): http://www.tweaknow.com/ramidleLE.html
