Windows/OSX .als file compatibility?

Hi everybody!
I'm using Ableton Live 5 on my PC/XP, now I've ordered a MacBook Pro (dual core mactel)
I'll going to work with Ableton on my PC Desktop at home, but I'm planning to perform with Macbook..
I've searched the forum about this subject but I couldn't find any article..
Is the .als files on my PC can be opened in Macs? (I'm afraid not, but just incase)
Even if I've all the VST instruments mac versions installed on the mac?
And what's your advice on switching to Mac?
Any integrations or something?
