the correct bcedit java files

i tried everything, read every topic and tried every solution but i finally found this thing for myself... took me 3 days but it's worth it.
http://java.sun.com/products/archive/index.html
in the section " J2SDK/J2RE - 1.4" choose 1.4.2_05
download
uninstall EVERY single "java" thing you have on your platform
install
be a lucky owner of your bcr/bcf

Version 1.4.2_11 works perfectly for me.
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
Make sure you download the JRE (runtime environment) and not the SDK (development kit).

This is about the version of Java required to use the Behringer B-EDIT program. Only version 1.4.2_11 and earlier work as of right now. The B-EDIT software is for users of the BCR2000 or BCF2000 controllers.

apropos: it is possible that the 11 version works too - but i had downloaded it and it didn't work for me.
there are a few more people i found in different topics that couldn't get rid of it so the 05 version might solve their problem too !

does this apply for both mac and pc? I'm on a mac and can't get the editor to work.

you have to check that site and do a search - personally i haven't bothered searching for a mac version...
