Hello.
Anyone out there using a simple EQ3 VST that can be set to 12 o-clock
with my uc-33e knobs? I dont really care about a complex plugin that can do all kind of kills, freqs etc. Just a simple tool that works.
It can be a free plugin or something i have to pay for.
I just want a good EQ3 that i can use when djing.
Please help me, and i will bring you milk and cookies

3 EQ

Dude,
You have to program your controllers Knob parameters.
Program your knobs with a 1-64 resolution . Normally they are programmed 1-127
So when you turn a knob fully open. Your EQ is at 12 o clock;)
I know, it would be great to influence these parameters within live.
Hopefully in version 6
Ciao!

Hey guys. thx for answering so fast. I found the EQ3a in another post before you posted the link. It was not the thing i was looking for. I took a look at my Xone 62 mixer. It has eq4. But that is not the case. I looked at knobs there and when its 12 o-clock its 0db. when its 5 o-clock (full gain) its +6db and when its turned all the way down to 7 o-clock (min) its -26 db.
How hard can it be to find a plugin that does this?

The EQ3a, to be honest, I'm not happy with. I'm working (from time to time) on another 3 Band EQ. It's a lot nicer sounding, and simpler, but not sure when it will be ready.
cheers,
david
Is it possible to write this in a VST plugin David?

Hi Green Antidote,
Yes it is possible, but by no means easy. I've just got one 'alogithmic' thing to do then that is the actual plugin made, then it is just a matter of adding a GUI. Once those things are done it should be good to go.
Best regards,
David

Call me cynical, but if you write these plug-ins why would you have to post here to ask for a better VSTi?
Surely you know a better way to reasearch VSTi than here?
Smells a bit like self promotion to me.

why don't you just set the knobs to max at zero? ctrl-M and then set the max/min values for the parameter at the bottom of the session view.

no, I just like doing it. There's nothing to promote as these plugins are free. I like it when people talk about eq's because I like making them, hence when someone starts talking about them i naturally join in....thats it really....
and yes i know better ways to research technical aspects of eq's but ultimate design goals are driven by user needs and desires....
cheers,
david
