Hello Folks

Just a query about live, do you ever use it with turntables as well? How do you get the beats from the record to sync with the beats on the laptop? Wen you press play on ableton?

We have a djm800 and apparently ya can do this as the mixer midi clocks the beats, we will be using serato and ableton in our set and was wondering how its achieve if it can be...

Wats your experiences using this method?

Cheers

the way i do it is i have my turntable running through my DJM 500 and the outputs on the mixer go into the inputs on my sound card and i run my TT on a seperate channel in live. then i mapped a midi knob to the master BPM and when the TT is playing, i can match up the beats just like i would on a turntable. HOpe this helps.

when my friend and i play live and he throws on an acapella on his turntables, i just tap tempo the beat of the record... that's one way.

in this video, i tap tempo the beat of an ol dirty bastard acapella on the cdj800. it's most evident at 2:40 ....

I tried this method...set it as 125min....-136bpm max....

I assigned a keyboard key to master tempo.........when i press it just flicks from 125-136...no inbetween....

I cant fathom out the last part of the blog... :(
