Ableton Forum

Hey all,

I've just bought the E-MU 0404 and Evolution X-Session Midi Controller.

Problem is, i cant get Ableton to recognise the Midi Controller, its all installed ok, it just doesnt show up in Midi Preferences on Ableton, all that shows up as the input devices is E-DSP Midi Port [D400] which is the midi connections on my soundcard.

Does this mean i have to connect the midi controller through the midi ports?

I thought it was just plug and play using USB

Hello Ukhursty,

Please double check that you installed the latest drivers for the X-session, plug it to the computer and restart Live.
Also, What version of Live, computer and OS are you using ?
