more info:

i'm opening a 2.03 session in 2.1b <--- clicks in render

copying files to be rendered from a 2.03 session
to a new 2.1b session doesn't seem to make a difference.

recording new tracks in a new2.1b session makes no difference.

!!!???

hi dpel

i have been having this issue since v1.5.
my workaround is to render at -4 to -6 db.
sometimes the clicks are no longer there, and then, of course,
if they are, i have been using waves xclick/crackle to process.

i can find no pattern to the issue at all on my end.
the only thing i have noticed is that when i record from session and
then render as wav, there is never clicking.
when using strictly arranger problem inevitably occurs.

win xp/2.0 ghz/ 384 mb ram

i can understand the frustration.

render crackes

dpel, ( and all others who experience crackles in Render )

please help us by answering the following questions:
(dpel, Alex already knows the most of the answers in your case, but we want to have all information we can get)

Which Live version you're using?

Which platform are you using?

Which soundcard / audio configuration ?

If you render the same file more then once do you get the crackles always at the same positions in the file ?

Can you describe exactly how the crackes do look ?
( this question is a bit difficult but i want to figure out what exactly happens) Is it like getting a one sample spike ? If so, do all spikes have the same level ? Is a bunch of samples which are zero ? etc. etc...

Do you get the same kind of problems (or simmilar) if you are re-recording the master output within Live?

Do you get the same kind of problems (or simmilar) if you are re-recording the output of live via a Soundcard ( like routing the output of a track back to the input and record the result in Live ?
