If I'd like to send a clickable link in an e-mail that leads to a particular thread or post on the Ableton Forum, how do I do that? I can't seem to get that all-important "viewtopic" to come up in the link; All I can do is link to the index of the forum.

I'm using Safari as a browser, Mac OS 10.4.6

Thanks,

St.

crap, not sure on a mac, but on pc you right click on the large font message title at the top of a message thread, then open that in a new window, which has a different url that links directly to the thread...surely there is a similar means of doing this on a one button mac...

Thanks very much. I'll mess around and see if I can come up with something.

Simply right click/context click and copy the link anywhere you see it, like any other link on the entire internet.

You are probably having trouble because you are trapped in the frameset that the forums is imbedded in, just use this link instead from now on:

http://www.ableton.com/forum/

Using that, the frameset will not hide the address in the browser addressbar.

To link directly to a post in a thread, copy the link above every post in a thread the looks like Image it's a bookmark right to the post.

Right click on the little file icon up here where this makeshift arrow is pointing to. Copy link, paste in an email. That will link you directly to a particular post.
