Live5 plug-in window pop-ups with Mackie Control, tempo knob

Using Live5 with a brand new Mackie Control Universal. Amazing combo, I am very pleased so far with the level of integration.

Is there a way for plug-ins to become visible as they are being accessed from within remote control surfaces? I can access the plugin's parameters but it would also be cool for it to pop up focus (i have my main monitor running the session/arrange view and the laptop monitor running VST plug-in screens) during editing and then close when I switch/exit out.
I have disabled auto-hide and enabled multi-windows and "auto-open" plugin windows but it does not do this on track selection via mouse or via the mackie control. Has anyone worked out something to do this in Live?

I am switching to Live and the Mackie Control from using a CM Labs Motormix with Steinberg products and I liked how it would auto focus VST plug-ins as you edited them and I kind of miss this convenience.

Also I am curious if there is a way to map the tempo controller at the top to a midi control I have tried to do this manually to midi controllers and I have searched for tempo controls with the Mackie Control but I just don't find anything about it. Like it isn't possible to externally map the tempo for real-time tweaking? Has anyone done it?

Thanks for any help.

Doh I just mapped my tempo controller to my Trigger Finger no problemo so I guess I was just smoking something when I thought I could not map a knob to tempo. 8)
