Remote 25 SL funky pedal

I use a sustain pedal connected to my SL 25.

I use it to turn a certain effect on and off. The weird thing is that after I turn off the SL and turn it on again Live responds inverse to how it was it up.

So let's say I set it up like this:

Pressing the pedal turns on an effect
Depressing the pedal turns it off.

After turning the SL off and on and restarting live the pedal response is the otherway around!

Depressing the pedal turns on the effect
and pressing the pedal turns it off.

Am I missing something??

Is it loading a different template?

Try turning it on with the pedal plugged in and held down. Does the polarity still reverse?

template is the same.

I will try your solution.

It's just a roland sustain pedal I bought a few years ago.
Nothing special.

Yamaha makes a $40 expression pedal that's alright. It has the biggest foot surface of any pedal I've seen, & isn't too weak.
