Alt + F10 - back to arrangement to PRINT or "make final"

so rather than pressing F10 and losing all the changes you just made or having to sit and record the whole lot, just press alt + f10 and print everything that is making the "back to arrangement" light show up - so insert breakpoints on all tracks that go on ad infinitum with the current assignments

i don't quite understand-

sort of a "oops, i should have recorded that" button?

for envelopes only? clip launching etc can also light the rta

yeah, kind of

If you have an arrangement where the low was cut out of track for, high out of track 6 and 8 is too loud, then you naturally just do it - then the BTA light comes on so you either have to press record and sit there playing it through in real time while the settings are made permenant, or you press BTA and lose the new changes

this way you can make them permenant with one click

and yes clips and automation

although I'm a big believer in having 2 record buttons for live - one global record (i.e sequence) and one for automation - the 2 need to be split for seperate control

and you should be able to select a section of the arrangement and only apply it to that bit

basically all I'm asking for here is the ability to make whatever's making the Back to arrangement Red thing light up be made permenant

so as you turn it off, instead of reverting to the settings that are recorded in automation - as normally happens when you press f10, instead it takes whatever settings you are currently on as the new arrangement

so the BTA light goes off, but the settings remain permenantly the same

maybe if you could have 2 options in a right click context menu - "print to end" or "print until next change" and the latter will make the current settings that made the light red only permenant until the next breakpoint for each track

I m with you on this one: so frustrating to make a good performance and the, discover the red button, aka record, was not set to "on"....

yeah - plus why should you have to sit and record for a few minutes whn all you want to do is change the levels of a few tracks and sends and devices? manually changing the automation break points is a long winded way to do it

Is there something like this implemented in v8 yet?

sadly no. And I guess the fact that I'm the only one requesting it doesn't bode well either! :(
