Live 2.1.1 and ASIO drivers

Hi Everyone,

Been having major problems getting Live to recognise that my Audiophile 2496 soundcard has ASIO drivers - it's there in the Device Type but after I've selected it it's not there in the output choices, is it possible to use 2.1.1 with ASIO?? would love to know because I'm getting error messages- can't run the programme at all under ASIO and spent all last night installing and uninstalling - very boring indeed!!!!!

Hi Richard,

on which OS are you? (OS 9 or Windows?)

You say, you can select ASIO in the device type, but your 2496 doesn't appear there? Which other other devices are appearing there?

What kind of error messages do you get?

Dear Alex,

I'm on Windows XP Home Edition. The error code is FF9-5-004-(80070057) "a serious programme error has occurred" etc. Every other driver type is on the list, multimedia, DX etc (I forget exactly) but the ASIO driver is not there. I'm also runiing Reason with the ASIO driver and Cubase ( tried it with "Release ASIO driver in background" checked and unchecked) no luck. I ran 2.03 with ASIO with no problems.

Hi Richard,

so if you ran Live 2.0.3 standalone you can access the ASIO driver?

but if you ran Live 2.1.1 you cannot access and get these error message? What exactly do you have to do to get the error?

Please send me the logfile of Live 2.0.3 and 2.1.1
"...Program Files/Ableton/Live 2.0.3/Preferences/Log.txt" and
"...Program Files/Ableton/Live 2.1.1/Preferences/Log.txt"

Thank's Alex and Kleine (Ableton) for answering me - I've tried my Audiophile with the latest driver (and re-installed it) with no result.

Having same problem and tried same suggestions to no avail...

Only hardware setup diff is that I'm running Xp Pro and have Delta 44 series in same PC with newly added Audiophile 2496. What gives?

Getting exact same Error Code. Thus Live Delta 2 only able to operate with MME. This sucks!
