does Live 5 do 'Solo defeat' or 'Solo overide'
i've been trying to figure it out for ages,
because i'd like it if
when i solo an instrument the send/return channel doesn't get muted in the process.

i've tryed solo in place but thats not what i want,
what im after is like a 'solo group' whereby chosen channels would be disquailifed[not muted] from the solo'ing of a channel
mainly to disqualify return channels
anyone!

It's called solo safe I think and no Live doesn't have it.

thanks mike holiday
"solo in place" under options
i mis-interpreted your instructions
i thought the 'exclusive - solo' button in preference/misc was what you were suggesting,
but i wasnt following properly and they are actually 2 different settings,
the 'solo in place' setting stops the return channels being muted when i solo a channel
which is what i was trying to figure out
as well as solo groups(or solo safe) which solo's a number channels when solo'ing one channel.
that would be nice but live doesnt have it
thanks again
