yeah I use one to dj and produce. Same specs as you (1gig ram 1.33Ghz) and it does ok. Don't expect to be able to run all sorts of vsts and effects but if used wisely it is more than capable of adequate live and studio performance. I bought mine only a short while beofre the macbooks were made available and I don't regret it that much. Fairly capable and robust little machine.

I've got one of the last ones too. It's a great computer, nothing can change that.

I use a 1ghz/256/30gb iBook. There is a LOT I can't do because of speed restrictions, but I've found many, many creative workarounds. The biggest one so far is using the Apple AU Reverb instead of Live's reverb. Saves lots of CPU.

I use one ( G4,1.0Ghz, 512 Mb,40 Gb) and works fine for me, I use live 5 rewired to reason 3.0 for my live acts. I think I use it wisely and don't try to run it up to its limits, so It works great for me. It's not the faster or the biggest but it is my "supermachine".

ya...i have a 933mHz ibook and it's a solid workhorse...nothing spectacular, but i never really have to think about it, it just works.
mind you, i think i'll be upgrading in the next few months...if i were buying now, i wouldn't bother with a g4, as they're 2 generations old at this point.
