A --> B morphable presets would be very nice..

(just in case; I know the workaround  )

An audio mulch type metasurface would kill for doing morphs!

what about if when you moprh, it would record all of the automation or better yet morphing with effect groups - BAM !

for sure!

The racks can host such a feature..

morphing from chain A to chain B..
or morph from the main rack to a nested one..

but the problem would be that the content of the two has to be exactly the same.. :?
Or it could ignore the difference in devices..

like that as well..
but one thing I don't really get is how do you morph the parameters then?

say you 'copy parameters to track' of 2 operators..
how is the 'fading' going? (not volume wise.)

If the first breakpoint of the "snapped value" is not added to the automation line, then the parameter will fade up or down from one setting to another.
The more space you leave in between, the longer the fade will be.

You would also be able to slice presets... Now there's a concept :D

aahh.. got it..
that would indeed be very nice..
nevertheless I would like a 'turn-one-knob-morph' as well because you can do more acurate, hands on tweaking..

think with me on this one..
I think the racks really suit a morph feature..
how about special macro dials, a.k.a. morph dials..
you would be able to assign two devices, device chains, or even racks to one dial..
and maybe the addition of;
- morph slopes..
- some kind of slope distortion..
- the ability to save the current dial setting as new preset..
Or to set that setting as a new initial A or B preset..
(this would make it a sort of Nord Modular mutator feature).. :D

or a macro mapable A/B preset button on each device would be an option as well..

select A..
select B and invert the mapping..

It's not too hard to set up a morph if you want to spend some time mapping macro controls (maybe this is the workaround you meant), though it would be easier to have something set this up automatically. Put the device(s) in a rack, and map one control to the parameters you want to morph. Set one end of the ranges to one group of settings (with judicious use of invert range), and the other end to the other group of settings. That knob now provides a one-control morph which can be automated easily.

(Actually the manual hints at this possibility "...for designing exotic, multi-paramter morphs of rhythm and timbre;", so the designers had it in mind, and maybe are still working on it. It would be really great if there were a way to drag presets onto a macro knob somehow and have the ranges set up automatically!)

Morphing presets! yes I really want this!
Nice additions would be to be able to deselect parameters youdon't want to morph.

Also if you have fiddled with a preset, it should sitll just interpolate toward preset B, from where it is instead of jumping to the values that would be where the knob is if it were interpolating directly from preset A (and vice versa).

Indeed morphing!

It was suggested some time ago

I wished for this in Logic ages ago, but I've given up on Logic. So now I wish for it in Live

:)
