Help - V2.1 running in demo mode - cannot unlock

I downloaded and installed v2.1 but had to run demo mode to quit the program and obtain an unlock key (no direct access to internet).
I now have the unlock key but cannot unlock as the option does not appear when starting Live. Help. This is extremely frustrating. It happened with the beta version too.
How do I get out of the demo mode?
Can anyone help on this or am I missing something?
