:) it makes me feel like I'm using a dedicated piece of hardware rather than a laptop. Cool.

Totally. But come to think of it, I can never stay in full screen mode too long. I usually need to access a menu after a short while. It'd be better if the menus were accessible somehow from full screen mode. That way I could pretend to be a submarine captain for longer periods of time.

This is from a Windows perspective, but I guess Mac would be similar.

While in fullscreen I just press alt+F to access the file menu - then the arrow keys to move between menus. Select menu item with enter key. Easy as pie.

basically on windows you just hit alt+( first letter of menu )

so like Mikael said:

for File menu - press alt+F
for Edit menu - press alt+E
for Options menu - press alt+O

... cant see it being that much different on OSX...

im with you tyhough a little mackie control would be nice...

Thanks guys - but that doesn't work on a Mac.

I'm editing some work right now. I just tried your tips in full screen mode pushing alt F, apple f, control f, etc. I tried combos of 3 keys too.

I imagine the is a keystroke for this. :?

Thanks for the help. :)

Try Control+F2 and then the arrow keys.
If this doesn't work, check 'Keyboard Shortcuts' in Keyboard & Mouse System Preferences and make sure 'full keyboard access' is turned on and check that "move focus to menu bar is set to Control+F2. You can also change this to whatever key combo you like. :)
