Wondering what opinions anyone has on the best book out there for Ableton Live 5.0

I think reading the manual cover-to-cover while sitting at your computer using the app is probably the best approach. Have you done that? If not, do that first.

I have ableton live power, quite cool, and a necessary complement to the manual which, in my opinion, doesn't present real life situations, examples, techniques, etc...

Just got Martin Delaney's "Ableton Live 5 Tips and Tricks". In some aspects it's better than "Ableton Live 5 Power" - it doesn't cover as many areas, but there is some very practical advice. I seem to remember somebody wasn't too favourable about this book on the forum recently, but it is cheap and depending on where you are could be a decent addition to your Live library.

I recently got started with Live, and found the "Power!" book very helpful. That along with the manual (and some useful tips from this forum) are all you need. Can't say I've looked at other books though. The general opinion (on Amazon, this and other forums) seems to be that the "Power" series delves a little deeper, but is slightly more academic, while other books have pretty pictures but less substance....

Power Series not only explains but gives techniques also. Great series.
