i know that im a little late jumping on this band wagon,but damn i love these guys.
just listening to them makes me want to work on music so much.i really cant figure out what it is about their music that pulls me in so much.are there any peeps out here making that style of music that would want to colaborate some stuff together.also,ulrich shnauss is another badass mofo that i really love these days.

I think i should give this guy some props.. he's the fucking shit, as far as i'm concerned..

I'm interested in what your ideas are -- do you have Reaktor 5 though? If you do there's a user ensemble that you've gotta pick up, it's like BoC in a can. But yeah, I use this module quite often plus Battery 2 so if you have those things I'd love to swap back and forth. After all, I know we can freeze tracks but I think we'd be limited in how we could sonically craft tracks.

And on Boards Of Canada themselves... they are simply the most amazing thing out there right now. I've never been huge on thinking of musicians as more than mere mortals but those guys are really like gods to me. They just have this amazing ability to create soundscapes and underneath it all is something that you don't always hear in IDM or their related genres -- a hook. They've really bridged the gap between transcedental and earthy music.

The track on my myspace called In Your Own Time came out almost like a Schnauss-clone - totally unintended, but the resemblance was uncanny

There's also a user created .glo bank for Absynth that sounds like BoC in a can.

IMO, "Music Has A Right To Children" is like the Rosetta Stone of electronic music. It's truly a "perfect" album.

they spend so long twisting it all around. theres a good interview with them in remix i think where they talk about how they will produce a whole track and then end up just using a few second samples from it in a different track.

heres a sample of a track i did that is called TRIBES of canada. its pretty obvious i was somewhat ripping them off, whilst adding my own percussions and fluteses, so i just went ahead and acknowledged it in the track title.

No need to thank me, you're the one that made it! I knew that you didn't do the videos, but they work very well together. I recommend your music to everyone i know, and have gotten excellent responses about it.

I read in an interview you gave about some guy berating you on using too many spoken word samples in your music. I didn't feel that way at all, and hope that you don't take that guys advice.
