Hello I hope someone can help here because I have started to have a big problem just since trying 521b8 (Could be my system and just bad timing though obviously).
The Idle Cpu use when I start up Live is now almost twice what it normally is ..
I thought at first this is strange but must be the debug software included in the beta (Never noticed this before though, which is why I thought weird).
Anyway I tested my system thinking maybe my processor was about to explode or something had broken cache etc. All tests were ok.
I decided to remove the beta because of the higher CPU hit when just idle (Scarin me) and went back to 5.2. Its now exactly the same on that as well.
So previous my template would load up and show idle as 5-6%
Now I have idle 8-10%
I dunno. This is very worrying.
Is there a way on OSX to disable Bug reporting other than deleting it from Library (I did that) or checking Lives prefs in serial number part (checked there as well ..nothing listed for bug reporter).

Ok heres whats happened I think? ..
My battery suddenly won't charge and is stuck @ 0%.
I have tried to reset PMU but this hasn't fixed the battery, it still won't charge.
Because the battery, PMU or something else is fucked and won't charge, when OSX starts up and I check my processor, the L3 cache is automatically disabled (why I dunno).
Also the battery time is constantly trying to be calculated but without a result (Cause the battery has died).
I hoped at least I could take the battery out and get rid of problems but this didn't work.
So it seems hardware failure at the exact same time I tried out the latest Live beta just to try to throw me (Either that or my computer knew something I didn't about the latest beta and just said "Fuck it, I'm Out") .. Isn't Life funny
Well, I am off to bang some shit, start a few fires and dance around them in a drug induced trance until I feel better. I may be some time..

Heres the solution for any Powerbook owners unlucky enough to go through what I just went through (24 Hours of thinking Hardware was failing).
If you get the above problem and look on apples support site or google for help, all you will fnd is a load of useless crap about zapping nvram, reseting PMU etc.
Don't waste your time and fuck your computer ...
You need to manually zap your computer ie give it a kick up the ass (This kicks normal battery functions back to how they should be).
1. Power on Computer
2. Once booted up make sure if you have any external drives you have them turned off. Put computer to sleep and unplug the power adaptor.
3. Leave for a couple of minutes (Remember battery is at 0% so you will not be able to wake it without power plug)
4. Now Plug power ... Hds will flash on and computer gets the jump start it needs.
5. Finally check system prefs processor - uncheck Nap if its on
6. Battery management should now return back to normal and under more info power you can see charging has resumed.
Alternative to this is throw your battery away and give apple some more money (Official Fix) but do what you want, I doubt anyone will read this anyway just wanted to try and help people if this horrible thing happens to them too.Bye
