A bit OT...
Downloaded the demo and have finally found EXACTLY what I've been looking for in terms of sound and useability, since I got into this whole electronic music thing a couple of years ago. I'm really into 70s sounds, pre-Stratosphere Tangerine Dream, Popol Vuh, Klaus Schultze etc. It seems to work fine with Live too. Any one using this? If so what are you using for a controller? I checked out the Arturia forum but there's not much on there. I want an intuitive interface I can play with like a "real" instrument. I checked out this http://www.midisoft.de/ but it appears to be discontinued, it also costs a fortune. Thoughts? Ideas? Any help much appreciated.

all of arturia's products are top notch. i have heard some say that G-Media's Minimonsta is better, but can't vouch for that.

Controller wise - you can't do better than Novation's Remote 25 SL - the ableton Live automap firmware upgrade makes it a joy to use with any vst inc the Minimoog V.

you also might want to have a look at Creamware's Minimax ASB..
Then you have an excellent Minimoog clone + controller in one..
I recently bought one; the filter is sooo creamy..

Does the Minmoog have MIDI learn, because Minimonsta does according to the site?

Arturia also makes an analog soft synth called Analog Facttory. It emulates the minimoog V, Moog Modular V, CS-80V, ARP 2600 V, Prophet V and Prophet VS. I really liked the demo, despite the fact that you can't edit the sounds much deeper than the ADSR and effects. check it out!

Thanks for the feedback. The Creamware Minimax looks pretty good, I'm going to check it out. Tempted by the Novation SL as I'll be using Live 5 as my sequencer. Also loving the step sequencer on the Arturia Moog Modular. Is there a similar unit that would work with the Mini? Arrrrgh! Decisions, decisions...
