I would appreciate any help anyone can provide. I am in the process of doing my first mix cd in Ableton and as I am not a power user I have not figured out alot. I have laid out most of my tracks warped and ready to go there are 3 things I really need help with.

When I dj I can set up a slap effect where the beat and or phrase will double up example G...G Unit...Nit common proactice for Hip Hop R&B DJ's

How could I simulate this same feel with live using 5.2 preferabley on the fly but I will take whatever anyone can provide.

The next is any tips that anyone can provide for mastering for a cd quality sound...All of my music is ripped at 192 in mp3 format I want the quality to be really good

And last but not least after I render the file to disc does anyone know how I can put tracks in my mix but still allow it to be continuos for whomever plays it.

I know I have asked alot but keep in mind I am a newbie that has used the manual and figured out how to do alot by playing in the software..(I think once I learn how to do a lot I will be dangerous) I really need help and would appreciate anyone stepping in.

Thanks in advance.....DJ DINAMX

check out live's beat repeat plug for repeat effect.

if you're doing a mix cd, the tracks you are mixing should already be mastered, so no need to do anything to them other than mix well. uhhh, although i should point out that you should be using uncompressed pcm audio files, (.wav or .aiff) not mp3's for god sound quality.

for seamless tracks in your mix cd, you need something like roxio toast and jam.
