Live ate my songs on Mac OSX

This happened to me twice now:
I create a new song, use the Save As function to save the new song. Then immediately after that i open another (old) song.
Instead of opening the other song, the first song just comes back (after a sort of flash, like it is being reloaded) and the title bar ('Test 4 - Live 5.2' for instance) remains unchanged. Trying to open it again from the left hand file browser repeatedly has no effect. If i then close the song and load either of the two, they are the same song, with different titles.

The first time i thought i made a mistake the second time i was not tired nor overworked, so i tried to reproduce it. The first time it worked and the second time it didn't. Anyone had the same problem?

And again

It just happened again twice.
This is getting demotivating.

I checked the disk (external FW disk) using Disk Ultility and it passed the test without any errors.

I hope that someone at Ableton HQ can see if they can reproduce and fix this issue.

last two songs not overwritten..

Okay, this will be my last post for this evening.
After the songs did not load, but showed content for another song instead, i closed the song, and browsed some other songs until Live crashed. When i reopened it, the content for the last two songs (from my previous post) was back. So i guess it is some kind of memory or buffer problem. My Mac is only one month old and i do not experience any crashes with other software.

Solved

Hello, just to mention that i emailed Ableton support and that the issues seem sovled after following their suggestions.
They were swift and helpful too; good support.

Basically, i no longer use the external drive for storing my songs and upgraded to the latest version of Live, (5.2.1).
I have not seen any more crashes nor save&load issues.
