Let's say that I have 5 tracks and 5 clips per track. I midi map them to 5 keys on a keyboard. A1 to Track 1, B1 to Track 2 to and so on for scene 1. Rather than mapping 5 different keys for the 5 clips in scene 2 is there a way to change it so the midi mapping for scene 1 moves down to scene 2 on the fly or by using a hot key/key stroke?
Essentially what my problem comes down to is that if I have tons of sample, I'm going to A) eventually run out of MIDI notes to assign if I were to assign each clip to an individual note and B)remebering 100 key and the assigned clip is friggin hard.

Why don't you map the scenes - since you're allready organizing it that way?

Even more flexible is using a virtual MIDI interface (IAC driver on a Mac). Far more useful than mapping scenes, as you can trigger any number clip/effect/etc anywhere at once with one button without the clips having to necessarily reside in the same scene.
You'll have 2,048 mappable triggers ((128 MIDI notes + 128 CCs) x 16 MIDI channels). And there are over 150 you can trigger from your ASCII keyboard, too.
As far as remembering what they all do, you're on your own there!
(P.S. I use one of these:

mapping the scenes would be a no go, cuz I want to be able to trigger the clips individually, not all simultaneously.

Don't map the clips... map the playbuttons above the pan knob...
It lets you trigger individual clips from the selected scene.

Hello,
When you are in MIDI assign mode, you'll see a "play button" per track, that is not visible normally. It is located between the volume fader and the clip area. If you assign these, and then two keys to navigate in the scenes, you'll need only a few keys to start any clip.
Best,
