chromatic midi remote control doesn't work for midi clips?

The Live midi remote mapping allows mapping midi notes to session clips. You can even map a range of midi notes to a single clip and live will transpose the clip chromatically depending on which note is used to trigger the session clip. This doesn't seem to me to work for midi clips though, only audio clips. Am I doing something wrong or does this currently only work for audio?

The following is listed as a bug fix to be included in the forthcoming 5.2.1 update :-
*[03] Bug: Playing clip via note-range*

Platform: All
Playing a clip via note-range from an external MIDI keyboard would not work.
Status: Fixed
Is this the problem you're referring to ? It looks like this update will be available in the next few days and there is currently a beta version available for download

Yeah, that sounds like it. Thanks for the pointer. I haven't tried the beta yet but this is a good reason to try it.
