I have a couple questions about the mackie control. 1. Is there a step by step tutoral on it ive looked all over the site for it couldn't

. 2. is it an external device that I would have to buy and then plug it in or what?
3. I have the book of Live 5 but it seems to end the sentence with': The follwoing sections will decribe how to operate the Mackir Control with Live. You may find the mixing chapter (page 129) to be particularly useful in locating and understanding Live's track control's.
I have read the book about 4-5 time's mostly because I am ground for not working on my math over the summer so I AM Screwd Please Help me out with this ASAP.

Do a google search for Mackie Control. It is a protocol that needs a piece of hardware, also called a Macie Control, in order to work. The hardware is very nice, but goes for US$999 retail. It controls much of the basic track functionality of a DAW, viz. Live, without having to Midi map encoders and faders.
However, there has been some development by people to get the BCR2000 to work in Mackie emulation mode, whereby it is somewhat like a mackie control without the motorized faders.

What about the BCF-2000 that HAS motorized faders?

Don't know. Try doing a search on the LIVE website. There has been a lot of discussion about Mackie emulations.
