So buy a wrist watch...

Seriously - I wouldn't want that on my screen estate. Many valuable pixels wasted.

Yila, do you actually mean a "timer"? If so: yes please - I have requested that myself.

WRT screen realestate: There is a bar:4:16 readout up top as well as a loop activate button, punch-in /-out settings and so on. All of these are pretty much useless when performing - an option to replace these with a simple timer that told how many hours:min:sec: had passed since hitting play would go a long way.

don't you have a clock on your computer?
Also you know that you can display the time in the arrange view. So if you pressed play at teh begining of your set, you can flip (with tab) to the arrange view to see the time (at the bottom).

yes a timer to see how long you've been playing. Just a simple minute counter would do - nice and clear.

I have a watch thanks - its analogue, and its far too difficult to read when im improvising and creating tracks live! It wouldnt wast pixels if you could turn it on and off.

I have Live full screen so no clock on my computer.

Yeah, I'd be about this too. I always mean to look at my phone or something when I start a set, and always forget. I never have any idea how long I've been playing.

I've even thought about buying a cheap kitchen timer and using that, Throbbing Gristle style...

But whats wrong with just hitting the 'TAB'-key to see how long you've been playing?

hitting the Tab key? What you talking about?

Theres just something about playing live and your brains inability to recognise time! I might just get an egg timer - i think 99% of my brain is taken up with improvising.
