Why does audio have to stop to reverse a clip?

what do you mean by first stop?

you can reverse audio while playing; no problem..

i experienced this too a few months ago. but the last few times i did it it worked without stopping. very strange.

i changed to 5.2 and mac, so maybe it's because of this?

stop the transport in total or a small drop in volume while reversing?

It says 'this action will force you to stop audio... continue?'. same as when you save a song when you're playing.

strange; I never experienced this..
but try the new update v.5.2.1; it doesn't stop when reversing..

One thing that I noted is that it will stop when it is first calulating the reverse. Once that is done you can reverse it and play it forward just by hitting the button and it will not stop the audio.

Hello,

Reverse should work without stopping the audio. What version do you use? Please try 5.2.1 and see how it goes.

If you don't get it to work without stopping audio, please send me your log.txt file to [email protected].

it does work! - seems like i havnt tried it since it didnt work and i just assumed it didnt work in the latest version
