Loss of sound and cpu running high

Every now and again recently i lose sound from the track that i'm playing, i can see the track plaing but no sound. My cpu also reaches quite a high leval. Any ideas?

search this forum for CPU spikes and / or sound drop out - the answer is most likely there.
also, you might find more help if you include more info.
what version of live?
any vst / vsti / au?
any hardware?
any sound card?
wot computer / OS / RAM?
otherwise it makes the task of answering ur question near impossible!
