note length midi effect

did any one of the alpha testers spent time exploring this ?
I'd be curious what kind of tricks you can get out of it
- does it output all notes with same length or does it quantize note length to the closest specified time division ?
- what happens when expanded midi notes overlap into the next one ?
- how does the trigger on note-off function works like ?
I believe this simple effect can do a lot, especially combined with arpegiator and stacked with macro functions
pls shed some light
thanks
Eric

According to previous statements here that feature has been removed from Live 6

The Note Length plugin (which as far as I'm aware is STILL in Live 6) is awesome.
I don't have the alpha on the machine, so I'm going from memory here:
The plugin makes the note, no matter how long you hold the key, 1/8, 1/2 or whatever. Not rounding up to next quantization point.
the Trigger on note-off setting simply outputs a note of a given length when you release the key.
There are a lot of good tricks in there, esp in conjunction with other midi effects.

Hi folks,
Since Live 6 is still in alpha, features are subject to change, to be added or remove.
The MIDI notes stretch feature will not be part of Live 6 as for now.
We always prefer to specify a feature to the end, to make sure we don't release a feature that would have to be removed or replaced because it was not good enough specified. The MIDI note timestretch is in that category right now.
Kind regards,
Amaury
