Which drum machine should I use?

I've been using Live for a few months now with a 25-key MIDI controller as my main instrument. I find that there are more than enough kits within Impulse and the module that came with my keyboard, however I would like to use something more natural than the keyboard to lay my drum patterns.
Any advice on a reliable, affordable (couple hundred $$$) drum machine that will integrate well?
Thanks

The Alesis control pad will be coming out in a few months for $200.
I have an mpd16, don't like it, I really don't mind playing drums with a piano keyboard but the control pad should be great. There's the Roland SPD series, but those goe for $400 USED and aren't all that easy to find (they're that good.)

This pad looks absolutly amazing! I just might have to pick that up.
Edit:
I've seen the SPD pads in a shop near mine. Now i've never owned a pad myself so this question may sound absolutly stupid, but is it po ssible to plug-in any drum pad to a computer/mac or are there only certain models.
