Can you guys please consider adding a feature wherby users can use there own groove templates ( typically just midi files with the applied timing) ie I like to use my mpc 3000 groove templates but cant in abelton.

This is a widley used feature and very easy to implement.

That is a feature that is already requested in the Feature Wishlist section of the forum. We try to keep that beta forum as focussed as possible on bugs and for that reason I will move that thread to the Feature requests section.

About the easiness of coding such a feature, I wouldn't be so sure, but that is not my part.
