so what are the midi processing possibilities like now with this new rack system ? or is the rack system somehow more focused on vst and vsti ?

It's awesome. You can set up key, velocity, and chain (ie, manual selection) ranges for each plugin in the rack, so they only respond to input in certain cases.

Is there a more specific question you have in regards to midi processing?

Imagine a midi-rack full of scale plugins. Each has a different transpose/scale setting. Play a hookline and morph thru the scales with a controller. Awesome.

drool...

so you could have appregiators that only respond to a certain note...
whats the story then with the midi output from a midi rack ?...so say I have three appregiators setup in a rack, each one set to respond to a specific note.....can I send the output of each appregiator to the midi track of my choice, arp 1 to midi 1, arp 2 to midi 2...etc... ?

that would be swell...
