cpu heat

hi i am using the latest live v 5 and am seeing cpu temps of up to 72 deg. i have a mobile p4 3.06 in a laptop i know these work very hot but should i be worried? also i see live reporting 15% cpu but windows is saying 70+%. for what it is worth i am running live more as a daw at this stage in the project so it is working with about 18 tracks of audio all consolidated and warp switched off and no inserted fx. also i have 4 fx busses on lives mixer, a few delays but just one verb all live's own plugins. any body else in the same position as me or even better any body know a way out! without buying a new laptop! in case it matters i am using a m-audio audiophile usb for sound (16 bit - 44.1)and midi for my nord modular and a uc33e for midi and controler stuff also on usb.

almost at the point of giving up with live which is a shame as i always have been a legit paying user and stand to loose out on a stack of money if i go back to my old daw (sonar 3).

thanks,

Andy C

turns out it was my cpu speedstepping down to combat the heat. i loaded up some old sonar projects and the same happend so laptop is having a new heatsink and fan fitted, a clean would probably do but it is three years old now so i went for a replacement. any one else using a p4 3.02 gig laptop what kind of working temps do you get and do the cooling mats i have seen reduce working temp's by much?

thanks in advance
