Behringer BCR 2000 cheap and it kicks ass. Automapping coming with it in Live 6, even without automap it's a great device, I love mine. I just wish it was USB powered (too many LEDs).

I'm thinking of buying something from the novation remote sl family , also supports automap but includes more different types of controllers:
- endless rotaries
- classic knobs
- X-Y surface
- sliders
- transport controls
- drumpads

Behringer BCF-2000 is the fader and knob version. it has real motorized faders and has Mackie mode for full automated support with Live, no need to setup anything.....very slept on unit!
I don't think there is one person who will say anything negative about either one.
by the way the knobs on both units are endless encoders that have little light rings around them to show thier position....works thesame a motorized faders in a sense. The buttons are also illuminated on/off.
BCF-2000 (motorized faders and single row knobs) $199
BCR-2000 (all knobs and buttons) about $119 - $129
