hahaha... thats about the best deal I ever heard. good for you

I paid 240 for my L5 and I had to pay full price for operator (149) and now I'll have to pay 119 for L6 upgrade unless there is an academic upgrade price.

Is there an educational discount to upgrade from Live 5 to Live 6? I'd like to get the price on the educational upgrade to boxed Live 6 plus Sampler and Operator.

Found this:

Educational institutions and teachers

Educational institutions and teachers are eligible for a 50% discount on Live's MSRP (MSRP depending on country of origin). Higher discount rates are available for multi-user or site licenses. Please contact [email protected] or your local distributor for further information.

Here:
http://www.ableton.com/education

My wife is a teacher. I emailed the abes to find out the educational discount for the upgrade (boxed) plus Sampler and Operator. If I can get a 50% discount, that would be $110 for the L6 boxed upgrade + $100 for Sampler and $60 for Operator = $280!! that would be alot easier to swallow than the full MSRP.........
